Christmas At Alan’s

Christmas Day at Alan’s. Did some cooking, a lot of drinking, and even more shenanigans.

I’m not even going to attempt to explain some of these pictures. Draw your own conclusions. 33 images.

More Christmas pictures and other stuff from December will be up tomorrow. Now that I’m off work for a while, I’ll have time to edit and put pictures up!

More after the jump.

Three Months (and change)

As promised, here is a video of my (our) first three months in Korea. It only hit me while I was putting this together that we’ve experienced and done so many awesome (and not so awesome) things since we’ve been here. Korea vs. Japan international soccer match, bros icing bros, eating live octopus, taekwondo, the G20, Konglish, lanterns, fan death, Woodstock Wednesday (and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday…etc.). Oh, and teaching.

And there’s still so much left to do.

Anyway, try and look past my shoddy editing (it’s been a while). If the video doesn’t work or you want to view this in HD (highly recommended), go here. Enjoy!

FC Seoul, Vuvuzelas, Itaewon.

A few weeks ago, the local football (soccer) team, FC Seoul, had a foreigners night. Go figure the game happened on one of the rainiest days so far. Still, a great time had by all. FC Seoul is pretty damn good – they’re second or third in the K-League. They played Daegu FC, and totally destroyed them, 4-0.

Also, vuvuzelas are much more annoying in person. Especially when they’re being blown into your ear.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures, another update later this week.

Pol salutes the World Cup Stadium. Also, longest escalator I’ve ever been on.

Vuvuzela crazy. Also, they blast fireworks after kickoff and every goal. And people also bring their own fireworks in. Safe? Probably not. Fun? You bet. I convinced more and more each day that there aren’t really any rules or laws in Korea.

Seabolt has just been iced – internationally. In disbelief. Video to come.
